1. A non refundable booking fee of 20% of the total event price is due at time of booking.

A written notice at least 14 days before the date of hire is required to cancel. Cancellation of 14 days or less carries a charge of the full hire price.
3.
The hire balance is to be paid 7 days prior to the erection date or in cash as the operatives arrive at the site.  Any cancellation due to animal or human infection/disease/virus/acts of war (either declared or undeclared) will incur normal cancellation terms.
4.
The hirer is responsible for the hired equipment from the moment of commencement of unloading vehicle(s) until the moment the equipment has been removed from the property or site.

The marquee site is treated by the company as a construction site.  Therefore the hirer and all third parties must take their own precautions as to their own safety.  The company accept no liability for injury or damage, howsoever caused, to the hirer or any third party during the hire period.

Insurance against any aspects of the marquee including theft, loss, damage and vandalism is not included and is the responsibility of the hirer.  Insurance can be arranged; however the hirer shall meet the first £500-00 of each claim.  Please note that furniture and all accessory loss or damage are not covered and will be charged at replacement value and will be deemed to still be on hire until paid for (and therefore additionally charged at hire cost).

Marquees are intended as temporary structures and will not safeguard fully against weather conditions.
Any gutters cannot be guaranteed against leakage.  When hiring a marquee the hirer must be sure that the marquee is suitable for the intended use.  Any recommendations stated by the firm are made in good faith but cannot over-ride the basic obligation of the hirer to ensure suitability.

We reserve the right to substitute items due to circumstances beyond our control.  All sizes are approximate.
9.
No substitutes will be accepted when damage or loss occurs.  All losses and damage to hired equipment or boxes are chargeable at current replacement value and will be deemed to still be on hire until paid for (and therefore additionally charged at hire cost).
10.
All goods remain the property of the company at all times.
11.
The hire charge does not include the making good or repair of damage to the site, fixtures, installations, access, or ground etc., caused by the company for the purpose of erection or dismantling.
12.
The hirer shall indemnify the company against damage to the site and property in the course of construction or term of the equipment.  The hirer shall make the company aware of any underground or overhead pipes or cables on the marquee site or access to the marquee site.
13.
Hire charges do not include the supply of table plans or setting up tables and chairs and tableware.  If any plans are supplied they will be for client's guidance only.

Hire charges do not include the carrying of equipment through or around any property, so a surcharge will need to be added to cover this additional labour.  Prices are based on their being good vehicular access of at least 10ft (3 metres) or more width.  Distance from vehicle parking facility to marquee site should be no more than 10ft (each additional foot, charged at £1.00.).

All bookings will be checked with Condor Marquees, on receipt of a signed booking form and deposit, for the availability of equipment required on the date required, and only then will it become a contract.

All booked-in and erection timings are only approximate and may be subject to change.

The hire charge is for a period of 24 hours unless otherwise stated.
18.
The site must be clear (e.g. no furniture, pots, etc.) and must be free from animal waste.  If animal waste is present then the marquee(s) cannot be erected.  Furthermore if any animal waste comes into contact with any equipment, it is the hirer's responsibility to clean the equipment.
19.
If there is any waiting time for Condor Marquee operatives on site this is charged at £15 per hour per operative and £15 per hour per vehicle.
20.
Any amendments to orders need to be sent in writing at least 2 weeks before the hire date and we will endeavour to fulfil the change.
21.
In the event of war, civil disturbance, strike or similar action the company reserves the right to withdraw the supply of goods and services for a specific date or time.  All dates and times for delivery are approximate.

A clear indication must be given as to where the marquee(s) need to be sited. Either by supplying a site plan, marking-out the site or verbally as the operatives arrive on site.  All marquees can be re-sited; however this incurs a charge of the entire hire charge again.

All types of marquee flooring and edging can only be made as level as the underlying ground.  If the underlying ground is uneven this may affect the flooring.

It is the hirer's responsibility to select an appropriate site for the erection or siting of the equipment hired.
26.
We do not recommend using matting or carpet onto a hard standing (e.g. concrete or paving) and we cannot put a polythene membrane under the matting on a hard standing as the matting will slide on the membrane.  The Matting/carpet will get wet if it rains, as the rain will roll off of the roof and under the walls of the marquee.

There is only a limited amount of fuel supplied with heaters and.  If any more is required, please ask.
28.
Where equipment and/or marquees are hired under a contract (or term) hire, the hirer must upkeep the equipment and ensure that the tie downs are tensioned and that stakes and/or bolts are secure.  This must be done on a regular basis especially during inclement weather
29.
When snow forms on a marquee, the inside roof temperature needs to be kept at plus 6 degrees centigrade with heaters.
30.
Please be sure of the location required for the Dance Floor, in the first instance.  Once laid, the dance floor will need to be re-laid, and this will attract an extra charge of one days hire of the Dance floor.

Please be sure of all items required before delivery, as it will attract a further delivery charge.  Also, when a marquee and/or equipment is/are on contract hire and any extra items are hired separately (or for a different period) they will attract a separate delivery charge.
32.
From time to time light bulbs do 'blow' due to atmospheric conditions in a marquee.  It is down to the hirer to supply and change any light bulbs if it becomes necessary, once the electrics have been installed and checked.
33.
All equipment hired is considered to be on hire until paid for in full.  Until payment is received in full a hire charge will be due on this equipment.
34.
Electrical items (for example lighting) must have an electric supply available for setting-up and testing of equipment.  If this cannot be supplied before our operatives leave site the client accepts responsibility of the electrics potentially not working, and if there are any reasons whatsoever for a call-out, this will attract a call-out charge.
35.
Generators where hired are hired with a specific power output.  It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure this output is high enough for your requirements.  Site operatives cannot give advice on generators or the power supplies required for your event (please phone the office).  Generators are hired at the hirer's risk.  We will endeavour to provide a replacement generator if a generator fails (at additional cost and within a reasonable time frame) although this cannot be guaranteed.  Please note it is the hirer's responsibility to make sure the total power consumption, of electrical items used, will be within the capacity of the ordered generator.
36.
Failure of any item does not affect the cost of any other item hired.
37.
Hirers are reminded to please ensure that no object or person is within 1 metre of a heater (or vent for a heater).
38.
It is the hirer's responsibility to complete day to day surveillance of marquee and equipment and day to day maintenance subsequent to surveillance. (It applies to re-tensioning tie downs)
39.
It is the hirer's responsibility to complete surveillance of weather on site and the forecast weather of the site and to inform the company if any 'gusts' of wind are going to exceed  the limitations of wind-loading for the particular structure on site.
40.
It is for Condor Marquees to install any additional fixings required for upgrading the wind-loading of a marquee, or remove roof sheets or make safe at the cost of the hirer and access to the site at any time is hereby given by the hirer for this purpose.
